126/365 - Let the Laundry Wait

I'm reading Murder on the Orient Express for the first time. Because it's so famous and has been around so long, I guess people assume that everyone who cares to will already have read it, so they don't bother much about spoilers-- which means that I've heard spoilery things about it. Still, I'm finding it an interesting read.

For years, I found the thought of Agatha Christie's novels intensely boring (oxymoron, anyone? (g)). I'm not sure why, but in any case, I was wrong. So far, the ones I've read aren't edge-of-your-seat thrillers, but they're engaging and somehow even cozy. . . which seems strange for murder mysteries, but is true all the same.

103/365 - Lucia

I'm sad to say that I missed a day in my year of photos.  (I do truly feel slightly sad about it.  It really doesn't matter one little bit.  It's not as though most of my project photos have been distinct, one-opportunity-in-a-lifetime photos, anyway.  But still, I'm disappointed to have missed a day.)

I remembered that I needed to take a photo for the day-- then promptly forgot all about it.  Oops.  I blame the fact that I was feeling ill most of the afternoon. (Must have something to blame, you know. ;o))  I'm feeling better again, today, and I'm going to be practical and just let a photo I took this morning count for yesterday.  It's representative of yesterday, at least, as I spent an hour or two in bed, trying to remedy what ailed me with an electric blanket and this book.  It's E. F. Benson's Lucia in London, from the Make Way for Lucia omnibus-- a Christmas gift from my parents.
